Versatile Microbial Applications

Precisely formulated with 10.0g/L peptone and 5.0g/L beef extract for optimal nitrogen balance, supplemented with 5.0g/L sodium chloride to maintain osmotic equilibrium. Prepare by dissolving 35.0g/L in purified water with boiling, followed by 121°C sterilization for 15 minutes. Critical post-sterilization homogenization prevents agar sedimentation (<0.5mm layer thickness variance), ensuring uniform solidification at pH 7.0±0.2. Validated for consistent gel strength (≥650 g/cm² at 25°C) supporting streak isolation without cracking. Suitable for both surface pour (4mm depth) and deep tube applications.

Ideal for routine cultivation of non-fastidious bacteria, colony counting in water/food testing, and as a base layer for biochemical tests. Supports robust growth of E. coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus with typical colony sizes of 1-2mm at 24 hours. The neutral pH profile minimizes acidification during extended incubation (up to 72h), while the absence of selective agents allows 95%+ recovery of environmental isolates. Available in bulk dehydrated powder (25kg drums) with OEM customization options for altered NaCl concentrations (2-8g/L), reduced agar content (10g/L for motility studies), or pre-poured plate formats.
